CAMP FACILITIES: We have 9 riding outdoor riding rings, a sports field, two in-ground swimming pools, a tennis court, arts and crafts building, several barns, petting zoo, low ropes course in our beautiful woods, trails, etc.

Many of our staff members and Directors are former campers who grew up at Thomas School and wanted to share the joys they had at camp with their children.

Our Directors are all RTE (Responding to Emergencies) certified, which includes CPR and First Aid (certified by the American Red Cross).

Our lifeguards are Red Cross Certified lifeguards and teach Red Cross certified swim lessons.

Our Riding Instructors are all certified instructors, as well as being certified in CPR and first aid by the Red Cross.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Campers age 13-15 participate in our CIT program where they can choose a specialty area in camp and mentor with staff from that area (Ex: Ride staff, lifeguards, counselors etc.) They also go on trips-some of our past trips have included: overnight to Hershey Park, overnight to Six Flags Great Adventure, day trip to the Waterfront Center (sailing and kayaking), day trip to Mountain Creek water park, overnight to Club Getaway, day trip to Brownstone Adventure Park, overnight Camping/White Water Rafting, etc.)

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Year round ride school with programs for ages 3 and older. Lessons offered include private lessons, group lessons and semi privates. Group lessons are offered full year or seasonally.

We offer camps during school breaks where students can spend the day at the barn taking care of and riding a horse that they are assigned to.

We offer birthday parties and girl & boy scout badge earning outings as well as school field trips during the year.

Our 5 year old program also features a 'Mini Club' period which allows each group to select from a list of their favorite activities to participate in each day.

Our 5 year olds also participate in our unique, values-based, STARFISH program. The STARFISH program not only supports our camp's mission of teaching children the skills of making and keeping friends while building self-esteem; it creates a safe environment that makes accomplishing that mission possible. Our STARFISH program assists in teaching, promoting and recognizing the values of Sportsmanship, Tolerance, Appreciation, Respect, Friendship, Integrity, Sensitivity and Helpfulness.

6 & 7 Year Olds
Our 6 & 7 year olds take full advantage of our famous 'Club Elective' program on a daily basis, allowing our campers to customize their schedules with their favorite activities! Club options include enhanced tennis instruction and competitive play, musical theatre production, other athletic clinics, innovative studio art projects, and many more!

8 Year Olds
In addition to participating in our great range of traditional activities, our 8 year old campers get the chance to experience the excitement and spirit of teamwork associated with our 'Sports Leagues'. Sports Leagues begin on an every other day basis, alternating with a SECOND 'Club Elective' period. League Teams are divided equally, with the emphasis being put upon good sportsmanship and building self-esteem. Campers may also participate in one of our 'Showtime' musical theatre productions, cook, swim, dance, explore nature, and take advantage everything that our camp program has to offer!

9 & 10 Year Olds / 11 & 12 Year Olds
We recognize that our older campers are looking for a more innovative and customizable summer experience so we give it to them! Our 'Club + Sports Leagues' program allows these senior groups to tailor their summer experience for up to two hours each day. Additionally, these older groups have "flex" periods in their schedule throughout the week which allow their group to once again choose between a list of available activities to participate in. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Founded in 1968, the GO Project has a long history of serving public school children that are struggling academically. The GO Project currently serves 722 students in grades K-8 through our summer (GO Summer) and school year program (GO School). Unique to the GO Project model is the partnership we have developed with independent schools in Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn. These schools donate space and resources to the GO Project to enable us to operate our programs in a cost efficient manner. Enrichment Coordinator - Each afternoon during the summer, GO Project provides students with a variety of art and movement experiences that intentionally complement and support the morning academic periods. The GO Project is seeking Enrichment Coordinators to oversee the implementation of high quality enrichment programs with our elementary school students. Coordinators will directly supervise 5-10 Activity Specialists and act as a campus leader for one of four sites.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our SUNY Purchase College location is a sprawling 500-acre campus located in the heart of beautiful Westchester County. It offers endless acres of playing fields, training areas, and 2 new floodlit turf, football, and baseball fields. As many as six full soccer fields, 12 short-sided fields, and NCAA regulation baseball and softball diamonds are expertly maintained for daily use. Our summer camp is only as good as the staff it hires. That is why we search the globe for the most experienced and enthusiastic staff members we can find. From England to Australia and California to Maine, our staff consists of about fifteen different nations and over twenty states. Everyone comes together with one goal in mind; to make sure our campers have the best summer of their lives!

We are looking for general counselors, specialist counselors, leadership positions, and support staff for the upcoming summer. General counselors spend the day with their division of campers; guiding, supporting, and supervising them as they go from activity to activity.

As a specialist, you concentrate on a specific area, passing on your knowledge to our campers to ensure they are learning or mastering that skill. The leadership roles we fill each summer range from department heads and group leaders to medical staff and office assistants. Lastly, our support staff members work behind the scenes as kitchen staff, maintenance workers, groundskeepers, and housekeepers to ensure the day to day operations of camp are handled.

Generally, most of our counselors are aged between nineteen and twenty-five, while our leadership staff are over twenty-five and have worked their way up the camp ladder. For a complete list, view our staff positions.

CAMP FACILITIES: Each of our cabins is equipped with complete bathrooms/ showers, electricity, porches and plenty of space. (No bunk beds!) Cabins are designed to hold between 5-8 campers with a minimum of 3 staff members living in each cabin so that we can maintain our 2:1 camper counselor ratio.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Located along a secluded nine-mile lake in the Adirondacks of New York State is a private/ independent seven-week residential camp for 130 children from across the United States and around the world. Camp Northwood is oriented toward children with low self-esteem, immature social skill development, high functioning autism, Asperger's Syndrome and learning challenges in need of a structured and supportive, socially therapeutic summer experience. Northwood's program, developed and supervised by an outstanding staff of special educators, focuses on the development of independence, social skills, self-image and the maintenance of academic skills.

Each Northwood camper participates in a fully non-competitive, socially oriented, main-streamed styled camp program. A camper/ counselor ratio of 2:1 provides a high level of individualization at activities and in the cabin setting insuring success. In addition to traditional camp activities, each child participates in an individually designed academic program intended to help maintain current skill levels throughout the summer season. Northwood campers are exposed to a variety of social experiences designed to foster age-appropriate social skill development. Group social skill sessions and constant reinforcement within the cabin setting cultivate growth in each camper's ability to work as part of a team, interpret social situations and feel a sense of inclusion in the camp community.

CAMP FACILITIES: Campers stay in secure, clean, modern corridor-style residence halls dedicated to summer campers. Males and females are housed in separate buildings. CAMP FACILITIES: Silver Lake is a picturesque camp, situated on over 300 acres of rolling green hills with a 96-acre private lake. Since opening in 2004, we have been busy improving and upgrading all of our facilities. During that time we have built all new bunks and renovated our basketball, tennis, and volleyball courts. At Skyhawks we go the extra mile to focus on safety, and we have a long-standing proven safety track record and processes to prove it. For example, all Skyhawks Sports camps start and end with our unique safety process called "Gate System and Parking Lot Duty." This process is where coaches come and greet both parents and campers in the parking lot when parents pull up to drop off their children.

Our staff guide the kids onto the field/court and out of harm's way by funneling them into our gate system. Ramapo for Children offers college students a valuable and highly unique summer job experience through one of our programs: Camp Ramapo. Ramapo runs one of the few residential summer camps that specifically serves children with social, emotional, and learning challenges. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Little Lions Camp is a kid-centered, fun-based day camp that’s main focus is keeping kids physically and creatively active. Programming features an ever changing combination of classic PE games, backyard favorites, sports, arts and crafts, and special surprises to keep kids happy, active, and engaged. A highly-trained, eclectic staff, that utilizes physical education teachers, athletes, camp veterans, creative types and child care specialists, ensures that games are always changing and that counselors can tailor programming to fit children’s needs and likes.

What is kid-centered programming? Kid-centered programming means our camp staff plans daily programming with the kids likes and dislikes in mind, but daily schedules might change based on camper preference. Wednesday at 2 o’clock might mean a trip to the track, but if the campers vote to play capture the flag for the third day in the row, our counselors are trained to be flexible and receptive. Little Lions Camp is about promoting a safe, welcoming environment that allows kids to participate in the activities that engage them the most.

What is fun-based? Our camp isn’t about shooting the perfect basket or running the fastest in a relay, it’s about being active and trying new things while having fun doing both. Staff will recognize children’s skills and achievements, but our goal is to promote fun and positive relationships.
